This kiln is a top-hat kiln whose length is around 18m and it can set up the products at 1250°C before thermal processing – hyper-quenching in water in a quenching pool located below the kiln. The maximum size of the products is 13.5m x 3.5m for thickeners up to 80mm (sheet metal). The load can reach 10 tonnes (steels, alloyed steels and stainless steels).

The kiln is equipped with 20 arch-installed flat flame burners with high temperature combustion air (400°C max) and a nominal capacity of 275kW each. These burners are the Bas-NOX type which enable emissions well below the authorised thresholds.
