AGV, robotics and process
The part washing application for the industry is mainly composed of a platform AGV and an automated cell with a Staubli 6-axis robot.
The handling of parts is done by the robot equipped with an automatic tool changer for the grabbing of parts and a washing nozzle for executing the cleaning operations at a fixed station. Another station enables the drying and draining of parts after spraying.
The combination of mobile robotics and stationary robotics adds flexibility to the production cell applications with automated flow management.
The AGV incorporated in this application enables the transportation of 3-tonne loads.
This application which has served as a demonstrator during Staubli’s technical conferences shows the operation and organisation flexibility provided by the AGVs for autonomous flow management.
