OUR HISTORY
-
The Beginning: The 1960s
Let’s go back to the 1960s to Nolay in the heart of Burgundy, the birthplace of our adventure. At that time, we were called CMH - Constructions Mécanique et Hydraulique. Our mission? Equip the local industries with revolutionary hydraulic pushers and trolley trucks for the handling of heavy loads.

The Era of Innovation: The 1980s
We have expanded our horizon throughout the years, delivering turnkey facilities all over France and Europe. From simple relay boxes to sophisticated automatons, we have been witnesses to and participants of technological evolution.

The Strategic Alliance: 1994
In 1994, we joined the Ceric group and adopted the Ceric Automation name. Specialising in production lines for the terra cotta construction materials industry, we have also daringly explored other sectors.

The Digital Era: The 2000s
Automation and robotics take centre stage. In 1995, our first poly-articulated robot was installed. In 2022, we reached the milestone of 1200 robots installed. The Nolay site became the group’s AUTOMATION hub, reinforced by the expertise of our Parisian entity Ceric Système.

The Resurgence: Late 2009
The 2009 economic crisis put us to the test but thanks to the determination from our managers and employees, we refocused on Nolay and were reborn under a new identity: CLEIA.

The conquering of new markets: 2012 and Beyond
In 2012, our Tunisian branch Albaraka CIE was created, making way for markets from emerging countries while maintaining a high performance level. Today, CLEIA is an international company which is constantly growing, with various expertise.

Continuous Innovation: 2020 to Today
Since 2020, we have divided our activities, becoming leaders or experts. Our industrial thermal activity is also developing with the design of industrial kilns for metallurgy and nuclear industry experts.

The Future: 2023 and Beyond
In 2023, CLEIA and its branches employed 230 people and made a turnover of €40M. We are exploring new horizons, particularly in the fields of batteries and eco-construction.
